Back-to-Basics eSeminar Series
January 31, 2008

We are introducing a new Back-to-Basics eSeminar series consisting of three six-part series. Each eSeminar is available individually or by the series. We will present a tremendous amount of retirement plan knowledge with very affordable pricing. Altogether there are 18 100-minute modules, a total of 1,800 minutes of training or 30 hours of training.

The 18 courses are divided into three subject groups, each containing six eSeminars.  First we will present the Qualified Plan Foundation, then Qualified Plan Distributions, Rollovers and Loans and finally, 401(k) Plans.  The eSeminars are each available individually for $99 or as a series of six as listed below for $399. The prices are further discounted if more than one group of six is purchased. Two series of six is available for $699 and all 18 are available for $999. These are per attendee prices. Discounts for multiple attendees are available, call 973-492-1880.

A description of the material covered in each of the three groupings follows:

Qualified Plan Foundation
These eSeminars will cover all the basic material needed to work with qualified plans. We start with an overview of the various plans, laws, agencies, types of documents and restatement cycles. The second eSeminar will cover eligibility, participation, rehires and coverage. Our third session will cover vesting, contributions and allocation pro rata by compensation. This will be followed by highly compensated employees, family attribution and top heavy rules. Our fifth session will cover controlled groups, 415 annual limitations, deduction rules, anti-alienation and bankruptcy. Finally, in our last session we will look at reporting, disclosures, e-communications and retention.

Qualified Plan Distributions, Rollovers and Loans
Knowing how to handle distributions, rollovers and loans is an important part of administering qualified plans. These eSeminars will start with an explanation of triggering events, hardship distributions, in-service distributions and premature distributions and the exceptions to the premature distribution penalty. The second session will cover eligible rollover distributions, 20% mandatory withholding, voluntary withholding, portability rules, QJSA rules and disability. The next session will cover required minimum distributions. The fourth session will cover death payout options of the beneficiary. The fifth session will cover participant loans. The last session will cover corrective distributions and 1099-R reporting.

401(k) Plans
The rules specific to 401(k) plans will be covered in these sessions. The first session will lay the foundation rules from the final 401(k) regulations, from the CODA rules to deferrals, to catch-up contributions to matching contributions. The second session will cover designated Roth contributions, distributions, portability and the five-year clock. The third session will cover ADP and ACP testing and correcting failed tests. The next session will cover safe harbor 401(k) plans and SIMPLE plans. The fifth session will present the automatic contribution arrangements, QACA, EACA and ACA. The last session will cover the Qualified Default Investment Alternative and disclosures specific to 401(k) plans.
