How are annual additions calculated?

The annual additions are calculated by adding up contributions in three basic categories:
- Employer contributions,
- Forfeitures added to the participant’s account, and
- Employee contributions, including after-tax contributions and including elective deferrals. Catch-up contributions and rollovers are excluded.
