A unique feature of the 401(k) Portal® is that most data previously entered to generate GUST documents is carried over to the EGTRRA system and thus, does not require data re-entry.  This will enable sponsoring firms to save significant amounts of time when generating EGTRRA restatements.  Current McKay Hochman clients do not pay for additional programming to bring over their existing databases.

In Announcement 2008-23, the IRS stated that the deadline for employers to adopt the new preapproved defined contribution EGTRRA plan document is April 30, 2010.
