Yes. As with the RMD and EGTRRA amendments, the IRS is expected to issue model plan amendment language to implement the DOL Automatic Rollover Rules. However, the IRS model language for this plan amendment will probably not arrive before January 1, 2005. Once it is released, we’ll advise you and provide you with the appropriate plan adoption amendment for your clients. We’ll also provide a Summary of Material Modifications that they can use to notify participants and beneficiaries.
