Pay-Per-Plan Service Explanation

Is there a plan you don't have, but that you need for that one special client?

  • Then our Pay-Per-Plan Service is for you.
  • You don't have to lease or sponsor any of our other services.
  • The plan is available instantly.

So when your organization has a customer who has a special need for the flexibility a Volume Submitter 401(k) Plan can provide but you do not sponsor one, you can access the Volume Submitter 401(k) Plan through the 401(k) Portal® on a pay-per-plan basis. The same applies to any Prototype Plan document that you do not currently sponsor. Our goal is to provide you with the ultimate in choices when it comes to plan document creation.

To take advantage of this service, you simply access the 401(k) Portal® Internet site www.401kportal.com, set up your account by clicking on the "Create a New Provider" link, fill in the requested information, and then begin drafting a plan. The entire process of setting up your account and adding plans may be done prior to your credit card being charged. You are only charged when you output a plan.

Note to existing Internet DOCMAN® users: For security purposes, you cannot use your existing username and password and will have to create a separate account to access plan documents under pay-per-plan. You will only need to do this once.

The 401(k) Portal® is user-friendly, with an interface that will be very familiar to Internet DOCMAN® users. For step-by-step instructions and other helpful tools, click on the "401k Portal" from the menu on the left side of your screen. On 401(k) Portal® home page, click on the "New to 401(k) Portal" icon.

As with Internet DOCMAN®, your documents are processed online and can be printed out on your local printer or downloaded to your computer or network within minutes after you create them. And, because McKay Hochman serves as document sponsor for these plans, your organization does not have to apply, or pay a fee, to the IRS to sponsor them.

The plan is cost-effective:

  • 403(b) Plan: $750 for the ERISA, Non-ERISA version or Church Non-ERISA — includes both Plan and SPD
  • EGTRRA Cash Balance Plan: $1,500 — includes both Plan and SPD

All other plans:

  • $295 includes the Plan or
  • $495 includes the Plan and SPD and there is a special discount for the first Plan

There is no charge for administrative forms.
